The Kwazulu Natal Art scene is finally coming into its own. After seeing the birth of the Heritage Arts festival, KZN’s premier Arts festival in 2007, the world is starting to sit up and take notice of the huge pool of artistic talent in Kwazulu Natal. Kizo Art Consultants, based in Gateway Theatre Of Shopping Umhlanga Ridge has been the catalyst in developing and driving this renaiassance in KZN.

The aim of Nathi Gumede, formerly curator of the KZNSA and now curator of Kizo’s 700m2 spectacular gallery space, is to maintain the gallery’s position as the premier Arts gallery in the province. Nathi who has been in the Arts industry for over a decade is as determined as the Kizo team to see the KZN Art scene become a world renowned pool of artistic talent.

Kizo has managed to secure a number of top quality exhibitions through the year. These include South African greats such as Wilma Cruise, Natasha Barnes, Bongi Bengu and so many more.

Confirmed exhibitions dates are as follows: Natasha Barnes (August 1-20); the Heritage Exhibition (September 1-30) and Aparna Swarup (November 6 to December 1)
