The winners of the North Coast Art Group were chosen last month at the NCAG’s annual exhibition In the Best Painting category, the winner of the Meta Orton Floating Trophy was Colleen Hamer with umAlusi. Runners up were Wendy Ferguson’s The Wave (Highly Commended); Lilian Passet’s Old Homestead (Commended) and Pearl Murray’s Tom - Rickshaw bus driver (Merit). In the Best Drawing category, the winner of The Peter Moir Floating Trophy was Pat Mounter with Shopping followed by Christina Godfrey with Nudes (Commended). The winner of the category for Best Work in an Alternative Form and receiving the NCAG Floating Trophy was Mireille Sabbatini for her digital photography work Ragged toothed shark. Runners up were Janet Osterloh’s photography Flower Girls: Tala Game Lodge (Commended) and Emma Robb’s printmaking Illusion (Merit).
