The BAT Centre’s Life Check Youth Development Initiative is a monthly showcase of young talent based on Hip hop live performance, including break-dancing (B-boying), Rap (MCeeing), Poetry (Spoken-word), Graffiti Art (Spray Painting) and Networking (meeting like-minds).

This cultural gathering takes place on the first Saturday of every month. The next Life Check takes place on May 3 in the BAT Centre’s Sipho Gumede Hall and features various Mcees, B-Boys & Poets.
