The University of KwaZulu-Natal School of Music in Durban, in association with the Distell Foundation for the Performing Arts, is to present a programme of chamber music by Brahms and Temmingh on May 18. Talented Rumanian couple Violeta Osorhean (violin) and Sorin Osorhean (French-horn), who are Associate Concertmaster and Principal French Horn in the KZNPO, will join UKZN Piano lecturer Liezl-Maret Jacobs for an evening of Brahms and Temmingh. South African composer Roelof Temmingh, now based in Durban, has composed a new work entitled Horn which will be premiered at this concert. Brahms' celebrated Trio for Violin, French-horn and Piano will fill the first half of the programme. After interval Temmingh's new work will be followed by Quatre petites pieces for piano, violin & horn by Charles Koechlin. The recital takes place at 19h30 on May 18 at UKZN's Howard College Theatre.
