The Southern African Music Rights Organisation's Corporate Social Investment Portfolio, SAMRO Endowment for the National Arts (SENA), has the honour of presenting the 2007 Overseas Scholarship for Singers.

If you happen to be, or know of, a perfect singer in the Jazz/Popular or Western Art idiom, remember ... the highest accolade for overseas study is up for grabs for the best in vocal performance.

The closing date for submission of the application and supporting documentation is April 30.

"The Singers' year is always the most popular year and four years ago saw the stunning Abigail Petersen and fabulous Nicholas Nicolaidis raise the bar in what has become the platform for the best musical talent the country has to offer," said SENA manager Andre Le Roux. On the 18th of August this year all eyes of those in the business of music will be on the Wits Great Hall, where stars will be born.

"We as the SAMRO group are proud of our investment in the arts through SENA and can't wait for the final Gala Evening, when we celebrate the best young singers in South Africa," concluded Yavi Madurai, General Manager, SAMRO Marketing division.
