Durban Black Drifters Entertainment, headed by Chris Ntuli and in association with uKhozi fm, Ilanga newspaper and J&B Whisky presents a varied programme of music at the BAT Centre on March 5.

The concert will be headlined by Durban-born superstar, Jabu Khanyile with Bayete. Audiences will also get to hear the roots sounds of Madala Kunene who provided the soundtrack for the Oscar-nominated Zulu language film Yesterday and the isicathamiya sounds of Durban Black Drifters.

There will also be a performance by Professor Cosbie Mbhele who will sing hits from her album, Lets Unite. There will be maskanda from uMshikashika Wenkunzi and the evening will be rounded off with a bit of mphephe from Eric "Coolfire" Hadebe.

Most of the artists have recently come back from overseas tours: Jabu Khanyile and his band Bayede have just returned from the US and China; Madala Kunene is back from Switzerland, and Durban Black Drifters toured Belgium and France last year and is now doing workshops in schools in KwaMashu, Inanda and Ntuzuma.
