A talk on the recent meetings between the Chinese government and the Tibet government-in-exile hosted by the Tibet Society of South Africa will be held at Ike’s Bookshop on January 31 from 14h30 to 17h00.

Mr Lodi Gyari, His Holiness the Dalai Lama's Special Envoy will give a talk about the recent approaches of the Tibet government-in-exile in trying to bring the Chinese government to the negotiating table. A Buddhist monk turned politician, Mr Lodi Gyari led two official visits to Mainland China in 2002 and 2003.
