Planning for Artfest '99 - July in Durban is gathering momentum as the mid-year holiday season draws closer. A meeting will be held in April for organisations and individuals interested in joining the Artfest working group which aims to promote the event as Durban's all-embracing annual arts and culture festival.

The first Artfest was launched in 1996. Three years on, the 1999 programme aims to build on previous activities and attract a wider variety of events and participants.
