NB: as of 23 September 2008, all new artSMart articles are being published on the site news.artsmart.co.za. The Alliance Française of Durban, otherwise known as the French Language Centre, has over 420 enrolled students and the interest to learn French is still increasing. The Alliance Française is again offering bursaries to those who have a serious desire to learn French and who can register for the second semester which starts on July 15. This is an opportunity to either begin learning French or to continue at a higher level if one already has a knowledge. In fact, it is not just an opportunity to learn the language but to discover more about the French culture. Application forms are available from the Alliance and can be collected weekdays between 08h30 and 17h30. Entries must be in by 16h30 on June 15. More information from Jean-Philippe Roy or Fern Girdlestone on 031 313-9582.
