Twenty top South African designers have been chosen to take part in Culture to Couture, an SABC2 initiative co-ordinated and directed by Cape Town fashion designer Gavin Rajah.

Among the KZN selected designers are Gideon, Francois Vedemme and Lindiwe Kuzwayo who will each create a range for the first event on April 17 at the Crown Mines Renaissance Centre. Gideon will reflect the Tsonga culture, Lindiwe Kuswayo will focus on the Ndebele while Francois Vedemme will concentrate on the Swazi traditional.

The Culture to Couture fashion show will be broadcast on SABC2 (tbc).
