The multi-discipline festival, Nationwide African Cultural Development Circuit 2000, was held in Mamelodi last week, the first township to host this community-uplifting project which aims to provide a platform for unknown talent. The NACDC 2000 project entails the co-ordination and running of empowerment workshops in artist management, contract drafting and other ventures run by arts and culture achievers, MIDI Trust, AFPRO, National Arts Council and SARA.

Nationwide African Cultural Festivals 2000 will be held in the various regions of South Africa, with the KwaZulu Natal African Cultural Festival taking place on August 19 and 20.
