Well-known Cape Town theatre personality Taliep Peterson, who worked closely with his long-time creative partner David Kramer, was shot and killed during an armed robbery at his home in Athlone, Cape Town, on December 16.

Taliep and David Kramer will be remembered for their collaborations since 1986 and are best known for the hit musical District Six. They had recently teamed up again to create the musical Ghoema which is running in Cape Town.
