artSMart, a co-production of Caroline Smart Services and Durbanet, is a constantly updated source of news about the arts in Durban and the rest of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Caroline Smart, editor of artSMart, has been active in the arts field in Durban for close on 30 years. She is an experienced broadcaster and newspaper columnist as well as a television presenter and producer. Through her work in the media, she has built up a strong and impressive network. Caroline is a recipient of the Durban Critics Circle Award and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Durban Theatre Awards for her contribution to the arts in Durban.

In September 2012, Caroline Smart was awarded the Ethekwini Municipality's Living Legend Award for Arts & Culture, a prestigious accolade recognising her contribution to the arts in Durban. (See below)
