BONANI AFRICA (article first published : 2002-08-25)

Museum Africa is hosting a feast of South African documentary photography. The Bonani Africa photographic festival runs until September 30 and features the work of 40 of South Africa's leading documentary photographers. Included in the line-up are top Durban photographers Omar Badsha, Rafiq Mayet and Paul Weinberg.

Students from the Market Theatre Photo Workshop and The Vaal Triangle Technikon will exhibit their works on the same platform.

This is the largest collection of documentary photography to be shown in South Africa at one time and the exhibitions will be held simultaneously in three other venues: The Market Theatre, The Pretoria Art Museum and The African Window.
