NB: as of 23 September 2008, all new artSMart articles are being published on the site news.artsmart.co.za. After a successful exhibition in Pietermaritzburg, Jabulisa 2006, which was organised and funded by The Natal Arts Trust, embarked on its provincial tour. From the original 190 works, 133 were selected to travel to Margate, Newcastle and Empangeni, mostly one art work from each artist. Very large or fragile pieces have been left behind on display in the Lorna Ferguson Room and some are in storage until May 2007, when the exhibition as a whole moves to the Durban Art Gallery. Although buyers will have to wait for their purchases to come home, many works are for sale. So far 45 items have been sold. The exhibition is currently running at the Carnegie Art Gallery in Newcastle until March 10. It then moves to the Empangeni Art Museum from March 22 to April 21. It will run at the Durban Art Gallery from May 9 to June 24. All queries, including sales, are handled by the Natal Arts Trust secretary, Robert Brusse on 031 465 1158 or rbrusse@mweb.co.za
