EFFERVES-“SENSE” (article first published : 2005-12-8)

An exhibition of the work of Arlene Welsh and Lea Trittis is running at Bevel Art Gallery.

“They have called the exhibition Efferves-“sense”, meaning animated, high spirited and excitable which encapsulates the essence with which both enthusiastically approach their painting. Both have a wonderful way with colour and their abstracts and flowers are great,” says gallery owner Beverley Bennett. “Arlene’s work will be in all mediums and Lea’s will be acrylic on canvas.”

The Bevel Art Gallery is situated at The Stables market, 176 Horse Chestnut Lane which runs parallel with Umgeni Road and NMR Avenue near the Durban Country Club.

The Stables operate on Wednesdays and Friday from 18h00 to 22h00 and on Sundays from 10h00 to 17h00. The exhibition runs until December 31.
