MARION TOWNSEND WATERCOLOUR WORKSHOPS (article first published : 2005-01-9)

Marion Townsend, one of South Africa’s leading watercolour artists, will run four-day or weekend workshops at Butterflies for Africa. The first weekend workshop takes place on February 12 and 13 with another scheduled in March. The cost is R325 pp

Her workshops cater for all levels and small classes ensure personalised attention.

Marion studied art at the Johannesburg Art School and has been a member of the Watercolour Society of South Africa since 1990. In 1995 she gained her Associateship and in 1998 was the Chairperson of the Johannesburg branch. She regularly runs workshops in Clarence, Freestate, and has previously taught at Misty Mountain Artist Retreat. Marion is also the niece of the renowned Polish Impressionist, Marian Mokwa.
