THUPELO CAPE TOWN WORKSHOP (article first published : 2004-11-7)

Durban artists Bandile Gumbi and Gabisile Nkosi will be repesented alongside artists from all over the world in a presentation of work made during the 2004 International Thupelo Cape Town Workshop.

Thupelo (which means “to teach by example”) Cape Town exists to encourage personal artistic growth in the visual arts in a mutually supportive workshop environment that encourages freedom to experiment through a sharing of ideas, experiences, techniques and disciplines. The idea is to create a synergy that will enlarge the artistic community and foster interrelationships through the Thupelo Workshop concept.

The presentation of work will be held on November 13 from 12h00 to 15h00 in Cape Town at the Masibambisani Secondary School opposite Greatmore Street Studios, Greatmore Street in Woodstock.
