CHILD ART CLASSES AT BAT (article first published : 2003-07-9)

If your child started by painting on your walls, and has been raring to express him or herself artistically ever since, here's an excellent opportunity for creative holiday fun.

Siphiwe Zulu, a successful artist and former BAT Centre Artist in Residence (1995-1997) will be running another holiday painting workshop at the BAT Centre from July 7 to 18.

The workshop is open to all children between the ages of seven and 18 years, at a cost of just R100 for six classes. The fees will be used to cover the cost of art materials. Those who attend the classes will be taught charcoal drawing, moving on to create their own masterpieces of free expression in acrylic paints. The children's work will be exhibited at the BAT Centre at the conclusion of the course.

Numbers are limited to 20, so contact Siphiwe speedily on 031 907 5020, (before 08h00 or after 17h00) to reserve your child's place.
