The Family Players and Friends - Allan Quihampton, Roland Stansell, Derek Pearce, Gino Veronie and Greg Baptie will present one show only of We Do it for Love on June 19 at 19h00. The aim is raise funds for Rhumbelow lighting operator Mbali who has worked with the theatre since it opened in July 2001. Mbali is in the Durban Girls Drummies and the squad is going to Cape Town for the Nationals and they need to raise money for the trip. “So The Family Players have decided to do a one-off comedy Drag show to raise money so she can attend with all the other girls,” says Roland Stansell. “It will be a collage of material that we have put on in the last four years.” Tickets R50. The venue opens 90 minutes before show for picnic dinner. Take along food picnic baskets and braais will be available. There is limited secure parking and booking is essential. A cash bar is available (no alcohol may be brought on to the premises). Rhumbelow Theatre is situated in Cunningham Avenue off Bartle Road.
