LOVE ACTUALLY (article first published : 2005-01-26)

Carol Trench, Anthony Stonier and Darren King take a humorous musical gaze at Love, Romance and Life in Love Actually which will have performances at the Rhumbelow Theatre from February 11 to 13.

From singles bar’s to life partners and - if you’re lucky – threesomes, the trio romp through musical treats, asking such questions as: “What is real love? … Puppy love? … Cupboard love? … Lust? And does it really matter?”

Three of Durban’s most favourite entertainers, Carol Trench, Anthony Stonier and Darren King have spent years “personally researching loves in’s and out’s not to mention it’s up’s and down’s, often hands on (occasionally as a team) resulting in this definitive analysis of Love, Lust and Life.”

Audiences are urged: “Bring your partner, past, present or future to this fun musical exploration. No car key swopping will be allowed as Carol doesn’t drive!!”

Shows take place on February 11 and 12 at 20h00 and on February 13 at 18h30. The venue opens 90 minutes before show for picnic dinner.

Tickets R50. Take along food picnic baskets and braais will be available. There is limited secure parking and booking is essential. A cash bar is available (no alcohol may be brought on to the premises). Rhumbelow Theatre is situated in Cunningham Avenue off Bartle Road.

To book contact Roland on 031 205 7602 (h) or 082 499 8636, or email roland@stansell.za.net

The Family Players raised in the region of R20,000 for the Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund through their last show at Rhumelow.
