Local girl Cherise Roberts makes her Barnyard Theatre debut at Gateway, replacing the inimitable Shelley McLean on lead vocals in the hit rock musical Roll Over Beethoven.

In 2001, Cherise featured in Engelbert Humperdinck In Concert With Tom Jones produced and directed by Collin Penn. She then went on to do The Andrew Sisters, was in the cast of Far From the Madding Crowd, Santa Hits Las Vegas and has performed for various corporate functions and weddings. Cherise was also one of the 140 finalists in Pop Stars.

Cherise is studying towards her Bachelor of Business Administration through UNISA and has just returned from travelling to London where she is continuing her musical career.
