RHYTHM OF LIFE (article first published : 2003-11-13)

Rhythm of Life is a show produced and performed by members of the well-established Company of Theatre Arts (COTA). It is to be presented for two weekends running at the Rhumbelow Theatre in Umbilo.

The word “rhythm” as defined in the Oxford English Dictionary is a harmonious correlation of parts. Rhythm of Life is described as a “mix around the rhythms of music, incorporating dance along with a touch of comedy”.

This will be the biggest cast ever seen at the Rhumbelow and promises to be a musical and comedy evening not to be missed. The Company of Theatre Arts has operated for well over 20 years offering shows at the St Johns Theatre and Westville Civic Centre. The oompany has a good reputation for a great evening out with a quality show.

Shows take place on November 28 and 29 at 20h00 and on November 30 at 18h30 to be repeated the following weekend on December 5 and 6 at 20h00 and on December 7 at 18h30. The venue opens 90 minutes before show for picnic dinner.

Tickets R40. Take along food picnic baskets and braais will be available. There is limited secure parking and booking is essential. A cash bar is available (no alcohol may be brought on to the premises). Rhumbelow Theatre is situated in Cunningham Avenue off Bartle Road.
