DIZZY FINGERS (article first published : 2001-04-21)

Music Revival presents two intimate café evenings featuring Diana Bures performing a selection of clarinet favourites. Diana studied at the New England Conservatory in Boston, Massachusetts and is currently playing with the KZNPO in Durban.

The programme includes the serene Adagio from Mozart's Clarinet Concerto (as used in the film Out of Africa), music by Schumann, Albeniz, Weber's exceptionally dizzy Clarinet Concerto and jazzy pieces by Benny Goodman and the popular Dizzy Fingers. The pianist will be Music Revival’s founder Christopher Duigan.

Performances take place on Monday (April 23) at 19h00 at the Grillroomcafé, Durban - bookings (031) 312-3456; and on Tuesday (April 24) at 19h00 at the Artseencafé in Kloof – bookings (031) 764-7021

In both cases tickets are R90 which includes soup, pasta and coffee. Booking is essential.
