WATERSHED AT BARNYARD THEATRE (article first published : 2007-07-23)

Award-winning band Watershed is heading out across the country to their favourite Barnyard Theatres this winter to give the fans another night to remember. They will launch their tour at The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway for two shows only on August 8 and 9, returning after a sold-out performance last year.

Watershed’s brand-new show, Winter Colours, will give the band a striking platform from which to perform not only best-loved hits like Indigo Girl, Letters, Close My Eyes, Shine On Me, Angel and In The Meantime but also a collection of new songs. The new material is fresh from the pen of Watershed front man and composer, Craig Hinds and these songs will be heard live for the first time on this tour.

The fantastic new Watershed songs include OK, Paper Cups, Rock Show and Little Lives and are guaranteed to get Barnyard fans rocking in the aisles – and on the tables!

On average, a Watershed song is played somewhere on South African radio every hour. They get over 10,000 plays on radio every year. This will be Watershed’s last South African tour before the launch of their Best Of, Vol 1 CD release in October. They embark on their tour overseas to the Middle East, UK and India in November.

The band comprises lead singer Craig Hinds on rhythm guitar and piano, Nic Rush on lead guitar, Hylton Brooker on keyboards, Peter Auret on drums and Ozzy on bass guitar.

Watershed’s Winter Colours presents performances on August 8 and 9. Tickets R120 pp and seating will be as for normal shows, with no standing room. Phone The Barnyard Theatre on 031 566 3045 for bookings or e-mail gateway@barnayrdtheatre.co.za
