A TASTE OF THOMSON (article first published : 2006-08-20)

Durban guitar maestro Barry Thomson will appear in A Taste of Thomson, a “one-man” show at The Heritage Theatre from September 25 to October 8.

Barry will be paying tribute to bands and guitar greats such as Santana, Dire Straits, Eric Clapton, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Bad Company, The Eagles, and Jethro Tull. He will also perform numbers from the recent sell out show The Jazz Singer which featured the music of Neil Diamond.

The band will comprise Mali Sewell on drums, Mark Frool on bass guitar and Dawn Selby on keyboards.

Barry Thomson has recently re-located back from Cape Town to Durban to make this his permanent home. He has become a household name at places like The Barnyard, Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, The Catalina Theatre and has been seen in the smash hit shows, The Guitar That Rocked The World, Johnny Be Good and The Jazz Singer. This is a must for all Barry Thomson fans!
