LAST SHOW OF THE SEASON (article first published : 2000-12-15)

Closing off the Sizzling Summer of SA Sounds at Bargoís, Greyville Racecourse, on January 5 will be the one of Durbanís busiest touring bands Fruit Fly Navigators, at 21h00. Through their participation in the Emerging Sounds competition in Johannesburg in 1999 which they won and their regular tours to Gauteng, the group have built up a solid fan base up-country. Now it is time for Durban to get behind one of our top emerging groups!

Next on stage will be Pistolfish who blew the 500 strong audience away on the December 1 with an intense display of power rock showcasing material from their debut release mindsEYEview as well as newer material. The resurgent Squeal will bring the curtain down on a summer of top quality SA music. Tickets R25 at the door

After this gig Bargoís will be taking a three-week break from the live music programme before coming back on February 2 with Landscape Prayers who introduce material from their latest studio album.
