WATERSHED FOR USHAKA (article first published : 2007-03-4)

One of South Africa’s most popular bands, Watershed, will pay a welcome visit to uShaka Marine World’s ‘Wet & Wild’.

The al fresco concert brought to uShaka by Vodacom, takes place in the adult pool at ‘Wet & Wild’ (the stage will be sunk into the pool) and follows closely on the heels of the Watershed’s recent concert tour to Dubai, where they wowed audiences with their unique sound and original compositions.

The evening kicks off at 18h00 with support act Thirty Three, another local band making a name for themselves on home turf, followed by Watershed at 19h00.

The audience will be able to relax on the grass or chill out and enjoy the concert from an inflatable in the adult pool in Wet ‘n Wild. Members of the public can bring along their own chairs, loungers, blankets and lilos. No food or beverages will be allowed to be taken into the park but refreshments will be available at kiosks and restaurants throughout the park. A big screen will bring the action ‘up close and personal’ to enhance the live experience.

The Watershed concert takes place on March 23. A number of Ushaka’s famous waterslides, such as the 5-Lane Racer, Drop Zone and the Torpedo, will be open on the night, so the young ones may prefer to pursue this option while the adults enjoy the show.

Tickets R75 booked at Computicket or uShaka Ticketing on 031 328 8000.
