BARRY AND MARIO (article first published : 2006-09-12)

Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom presents South Africa's best-loved “cousin” Barry Hilton and Mario Monteregge and his Music Unlimited Band in an evening of laughter, fun and dance to raise funds for the local branch of the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) of South Africa.

The theme of the evening is Captain’s Ball – A Titanic Dinner and guests will be treated to a deliciously decadent upmarket three course menu along with an evening of entertainment to remember.

Barry Hilton is considered one of South Africa's top comics and is truly an international stand-up comedian, capable of performing his original brand of humour anywhere in the world. He lives and performs in South Africa but is also in demand in other countries around the world.

Mario Monteregge’s Music Unlimited big band sound promises an evening of live dance music to get everyone off their seats and onto the dance floor.

“Sun International and Sibaya have chosen to support the NSRI, as one of the many CSI projects because the institute relies almost entirely on donations to finance its operations,” says Melville Vogel, General Manager of Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom. “We, as a leisure and entertainment facility, have close associations with a number of sea and beach-based festivals and events so it makes sense that we assist this worthy cause in their endeavours to ensure the safety of people associated with the sea.”

Captain’s Ball – A Titanic Dinner will take place on September 23 at 19h00 in the Imbizo Room: Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom.

Tickets for this fundraising evening are R500 or R5,000 per table of ten. The price includes a three course dinner, Barry Hilton for laughs and a chance to dance the night away. For further information or to book contact Vanessa on 0834338743.

Barry Hilton will do an additional performance, also in aid of the NSRI, earlier in the evening on September 23 at 18h00 in the iZulu Theatre at Sibaya. Tickets R85 (show only) booked through 031 580 5555 or Computicket.
