WHACKY WEEKEND (article first published : 2006-09-7)

On September 10 (this coming Sunday), the Pietermaritzburg-based Music Revival has something new.

Well-known pianist Christopher Duigan is offering a special rate for newcomers to Music Revival, who may have only thought about trying a dip into the classical music waters, or for regular supporters who might like to introduce a friend the experience.

So this will be a Whacky Weekend, offering two tickets for the price of one. Duigan will play a classical piano programme including Beethoven's Sonata Op 57, Schubert's Impromptu No 3 in G-flat, Chopin's Scherzo No 3, Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody No 13 and Scriabin's Nocturne for Left hand alone.

The performance is at 15h30 pm at 35 Montgomery Drive, Pietermaritzburg. Tickets R70 for two (R35 for one) which includes wine before and coffee after the performance.

Booking is essential on 033 342 3051 or email booking@musicrevival.co.za
