STERN-BACH DUO (article first published : 2006-08-20)

On August 29, Friends of Music will host the Stern-Bach Duo in a selection of solo and duo pieces.

South African born pianist Jenny Stern is a visiting teacher at Eton and the Royal College of Music. As both soloist and chamber musician, her masterclasses and concert accomplishments in the UK and abroad include Dartington Summer School of Music and Chief Accompanist for the Recanati String Music Series in Italy.

He was the judges’ unanimous choice for the “Musician of the Year 2005” award from the cream of young musicians representing over 500 UK preparatory schools.

The concert takes place at 19h45 on August 29 at the Durban Jewish Centre, 44 Old Fort Road. There is a cash bar and safe parking. Book at Computicket.
