BANGRA AND DOLPHINS (article first published : 2005-11-13)

Gearing up for the spirit of the forthcoming summer break, uShaka Marine World will host two events: uShaka’s first Bangra Bash on November 19, followed by the second Music of the Night dolphin show on November 25.

“Both events promise great fun for the whole family. In partnering with Durban Africa and Radio Lotus we want to make sure that Durban lives up to its name of South Africa’s playground,” says Mike Lambert, Chief Operating Officer of uShaka Marine World.

Hosted by uShaka Marine World, Durban Africa and Radio Lotus, the Bangra Bash will take place at uShaka’s Parking A. Alternate parking will be available at parking B. Entry to the bash is free. Lotus FM’s line up of DJ's, song and dance will have audiences dancing the night away. Food and drink will be on sale at the venue, therefore no food bought outside of the venue will be allowed in. In the interest of safety, no firearms will be allowed into the venue.

Durban Africa will again partner with uShaka Marine World to present what was initially a once-off event. Sold out first time around, the night dolphin show dubbed Music of the Night II is now back by popular demand to enthral audiences. Singers and dolphins alike are busy rehearsing for their performance which celebrates Broadway under Durban skies. Tickets R85 (R55 children under 12) on sale at Computicket and at uShaka Marine World. Gates to SeaWorld will open at 18h30 and the show will start promptly at 19h00.

For further information on both events, call uShaka Marine World on 031 328 8000.
