CELTIS (article first published : 2005-11-1)

On November 1, the Durban Folk Club will feature celtic music group Celtis, as well as solo acts from the multi-talented blues man and slide guitarist Richard Haslop, and the velvet-voiced singer/songwriter, Tiffany.

Celtis plays a blend of mostly traditional Irish tunes with some celtic Breton and Scottish pieces. The trio consists of Anton Cawthorn-Blazeby on violin, Keri Povall on flute and Ron Uken on guitar and bodhran.

Music starts at 17h30 at the Jazz Centre, University of KwaZulu-Natal (Howard College Campus). Entrance R20 (R10 members and students). Cash bar and secure parking. Details from Fiona on 072 822 7988 or Glynis on 031 260 3385.
