BRIDGING THE GAP (article first published : 2005-08-1)

On August 9 (Women's Day), the BAT Centre will host a programme.

In continuation of the BAT Centre’s Women's Day celebrations over the past three year, BAT will host a Women's Day with a difference in 2005. The day starts with a conference on young women's issues, especially those of women at institutions of learning in KwaZulu-Natal. There will be a number of guest speakers who will cover issues from HIV/AIDS to harassment and social pressures. There will also be a debate and panel discussion. The workshop is free and will run at the Mission Control Conference Centre from 09h00 to 17h00.

The BAT Centre will host powerful KZN talent in the Women's Day music concert. Performers include Xolisa and a variety of bands that have performed at the centre on the past. Tickets R40 available from BAT Centre reception. More information on 031 332 0451.
