BAT ARTISTS IN RESIDENCY (article first published : 2005-02-21)

Admissions are now open for the BAT Centre’s AIR Programme 2005 which is open to all aspirant musicians and artists who are keen to study full time from March 2005 in a unique business learnership programme.

Applicants need to be 18 years or older and have either musical or artistic skills or experience. All admission forms need to be accompanied by a R150 administration fee, a demo or portfolio, a recommendation from a community leader, an ID photo and supporting documentation.

The AIR Programme has been sponsored by the National Lottery Development Trust Fund since its inception in 2001 and 50 students are selected annually to participate. The admission forms are available from the BAT Centre at 45 Maritime Place, off Victoria Embankment or from the website at www.batcentre.co.za, under the BAT Projects subheading.
