SUNCOAST PARTY (article first published : 2004-12-29)

Suncoast Casino & Entertainment World (Suncoast) will be pulling out all the stops to welcome in the New Year, in true celebratory style on December 31, 2004. Together with East Coast Radio, Suncoast have put together an evening of live bands, entertainment and non-stop activity to create an exciting party atmosphere overlooking the magnificent Indian Ocean.

Entertainment on Complex starts at 16h30 with face painters, stilt walkers, buskers, fire jugglers and children’s entertainment setting the tone for the evening. This will be followed by steel and marimba bands and drummers on the Suncoast Sundeck.

The main music programme for the evening begins at 19h00 with hosts East Coast Radio DJ’s Neville Pillay and Trevor Williams on the Suncoast Sundeck. The impressive line-up includes Callan, ‘Idol’ Melanie Lowe, R&B duo Klint & Jaded, popular Rock sensation Just Ginger, Funk king Baby Boy and Young Nation. R&B artist Loyiso takes the party to the bewitching hour. East Coast Radio will be broadcasting live from Suncoast from 18h00. The visual highlight of the evening is the fireworks display at midnight.

Tickets R50 per person available at Computicket (R70 bought on the night from the Guest Relations desk at Suncoast). Pre-purchased tickets provide access to the Suncoast Sundeck and Boardwalk, for all entertainment and the concert. Seating on the Sundeck is limited so New Year revellers are encouraged to buy their tickets in advance.

The Suncoast Sundeck will be closed off to the public from 18h00 and access to the property for the rest of the evening will cost R10 per person via the Boardwalk (R5 via the main tollgate entrance). Visitors must hold a concert ticket in order to gain access to the Suncoast Sundeck for the concert. More information from Suncoast marketing on 031 328 3000.
