CLASSICAL BITES (article first published : 2004-04-11)

A delicious way to spend Sunday brunch is at the Catalina Theatre in Wilsonís Wharf.

Presented in association with Stacey Almond & Nuts4Music, this series of Classical Champagne Concerts is held every month-end Sunday at which patrons can enjoy a glass of chilled sparkling wine, a light finger lunch and an hour-long programme of light classical music.

In the next concert, Classical Bites, Roumanian born KZNPO Violinist Beatris Lauenburg performs with Durbanís top pianist Andrew Warburton. They will present some of the classical repertoireís most famous pieces for Violin and Piano featuring duets by Fritz Kreisler, Dvorak, Mozart, Drdla, Toselli and Massenet.

Classical Bites will take place on April 25 at 12h00 at Catalina Theatre: Wilsons Wharf. Tickets R60 (R50 concessions) and early booking is essential. Book at Catalina through Thandeka on 031 305 6889. Booked tickets available for collection from 11h30.
