FETE DE LA MUSIQUE (article first published : 2003-05-19)

Bernard Bruel has been fascinated by Brel since 1963. Only in 1985, after meeting Sébastien Jaudon, who shares the same passion, did they re-create a group similar to that of Brel’s which included piano, accordian and double-bass. Later they would add the flute and drums.

The audience responses in countries like France, Belgium and Germany have pushed Bruel to continue paying homage to the great Brel.

Bruel chante Brel takes place on June 18 at the BAT Centre and also a Philharmonic concert with the KZNPO on the June 19 at City Hall.
