JAMWAGON IAFRIKA (article first published : 2002-02-23)

Jason “Jagabags” Tonkin is more widely known as an acoustic guitarist and singer. However, of late he has been working on a patented concept which will make it easier for promoters to reach people in their own vicinities.

With the capacity to be moved deep into the rural areas, The JamWagon iAfrika is a self-contained stage, sound and lighting unit comprising a 2m x 4m x 2,5m box trailer that converts into 7m x 5m stage and canopy with a 9m catwalk facility. It can be towed behind any vehicle with a reasonable sized engine.

The unit opens up exciting possibilities for the performing arts and, whilst designed as a development platform, it can be used for any professional performances. With an onboard generator, the JamWagon iAfrika can be set up just about anywhere in a very short space of time. It is ideal for product launches as it has plenty of room for effective advertising.

JamWagon iAfrika Entertainment intends manufacturing three mobile stages, differing in size and available facilities.

The JamWagon iAfrika is expected to be in commission by mid April when it will be available to corporate and industrial industries for product launches and promotions in conjunction with PriMusic Association. More details from Jason Tonkin on 031 206-1458 or 082 260-0203.
