SATURDAY WIRED (article first published : 2000-02-11)

Tune into Saturday Wired on SAFM 104 –107 on February 12 from 11h00 to 13h00 when Durban band Sunways (now based in Gauteng) will perform live tracks in the studio from their new album, The Moon is a Spoon.

Presented by Michelle Constant, Saturday Wired once again introduces listeners to the bizarre, exciting and entertaining popular culture of South Africa. Saturday’s show explains how to make mampoer and wine at home, with ou oom Nico vannie Klein Karoo. In the Fun Club there’s a taste of Chinese New Year's Eve (Year of the Dragon) which took place last weekend and there is information of romantic retreats for lovers, in anticipation of Valentine's Day. Peter Makarube will be on the line offering details on the latest Monday Blues Sessions.

Regular guests Annie Williams and Alan Swerdlow will be joined by Darryl Bristow Bovey who will pop in for a 'wine tasting' - carrot wine, potato wine, coffee wine - with celebrity singer Frank Opperman.
