THE GREAT MOSCOW CIRCUS (article first published : 2005-03-24)

The Great Moscow Circus is running at Suncoast Casino & Entertainment World (Suncoast) until April 3. The Circus is already successfully working its magic on Durban audiences as the cream of the international circus world, over 70 performers in all, showcase their skills and talents. They will perform every possible circus favourite: acrobats, trapeze artists, clowns, balancers, horses, dogs and, of course, magnificent tigers – including a rare white tiger – showgirls and much more.

The Great Moscow Circus is brought to South Africa by Edgley International, which has been a major force in the live entertainment business in Australia and globally for almost four decades. This is the third leg of their South African tour, following successful seasons in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

The Circus will perform in a spectacular, brand-new 2,500 seat, red and yellow air-conditioned ‘Big Top Tent’, with all-chair seating – creating a traditional European atmosphere, where the audience will never be more than 11m from the action!

For visitors entering the complex from the South and Argyle Rd., safe secure parking has been arranged at George Campbell Technical School on Brickhill Road, from where guests will be taken by shuttle, free of charge, to the circus site. Visitors entering from Battery Beach Road, can park in the parking area, alongside Suncoast on the former Suncoast Waterworld site.

Tickets range from R55 to R240. To book call 083 915 8000, book online at www.computicket.com or at Computicket at Suncoast (next to News Café).
