NB: as of 23 September 2008, all new artSMart articles are being published on the site news.artsmart.co.za. After its very successful launch, the fifth staging of Blue Monday Platform is scheduled for January 17 at the Catalina Theatre in Wilson’s Wharf. Blue Monday Platform is a forum to encourage young performing artists to explore, create and innovate. It is a platform that operates on a basic “open mic” theory where the Platform is yours for 15 minutes. You can perform anything from poetry to rap, sketches to play excerpts, mime to music. Blue Monday Platform is on a mission to change the perception of arts and get the youth back into theatre foyers. The evening starts at 19h00. Entry is free and all are welcome. Those wishing to book a slot for performance should contact Dylan on 083 671 8531
