STAGE MAGAZINE NOW REVAMPED (article first published : 2003-12-28)

In its aim to support and promote South African music and entertainment, Stage Magazine has some exciting news! December sees one of SAís foremost entertainment magazines, Stage - now sporting a drastically re-vamped look and feel. The magazine has had its biggest make-over yet and the release of this edition marks a new era in the promotion of South African music!

Stage has been run for six years as a predominantly Cape Town-focused magazine but now takes on a national focus, as well as incorporating news on an international level, placing South African entertainment in the spotlight of worldwide happenings.

A little heavier in content, Stage has also incorporated a poster and CD! An exciting edition, the CD will feature ten tracks from a South African artist on each edition. Featured in the December issue is Boo!, a top South African band that has been highly successful abroad.

The CD features 10 tracks from five of Boo!ís albums giving fans a greatest hits compilations, providing a perfect introduction to people who have not yet had the pleasure of hearing this band as yet.

Hot giveaways this month include tickets to the musical Fame as well as albums from The Darkness; Muse; Linkin Park; and POD.

Established outfits will have the opportunity of printing compilation CDs through the magazine and giving something new to fans. Up-and-coming outfits will be able to gain exposure by putting together a CD and having thousands of Stage fans across the country listening to their sounds. In addition, writers and columnists offer views, reviews, listings, interviews and previews from across South Africa and abroad. The magazine covers music, theatre, films, home entertainment, games and lifestyle.
