EVE (article first published : 2004-11-3)

It's not uncommon for supermodels to migrate to the silver screen. But where can top-rated female rappers go to show off their acting skills? For Grammy award-winning hip hop star Eve, being a movie star wasn't good enough. She wanted her own TV sitcom - and got it!

Her television debut, the brand new romantic comedy series Eve, starts on M-Net on November 5 at 19h00.

Eve has once been described as a multi-talented sensation. Equally vivacious is her character, Shelly, a 25-year-old clothing designer who owns her own label boutique. She is a strong and intelligent woman of the 90's who brings a fresh attitude to the male/female equation as she navigates the exhilarating world of love, sex, romance and career. It seems that Shelly has been a little too single, a little too long for her own liking.

It becomes a battle of sexes when her best friends join in her quest forming what seems to be a "sisterhood union". Rita is a gorgeous single, “but not looking” model while Janie is an attractive and very-happy-to-be-married woman. J.T is a handsome, regular kind of guy who really enjoys being single, and his best pal, Nick is looking for that one perfect woman who can meet his very exacting standards. Donovan Brink is the handsome fashionable manager that every woman would like to be seen with.

The battle of the sexes gets a witty, sexy twist as both points of view in this relatable romance play out. Eve also features the hottest trend-setting looks, as real-life fashion icon Eve portrays the owner of a hip clothing boutique who brings true style to the masses.
