BBC PRIME (article first published : 2004-03-7)

Thursday nights on BBC Prime’s Africa channel on DStv continue to reveal the reality of modern living with Wife Swap Changed Our Marriage, which updates the fortunes and stories of the first four swapping couples from series one of Wife Swap. This is followed immediately by the second series of this award-winning series. Don’t miss more new Wife Swap on Thursday nights at 21h00.

Tamzin Outhwaite stars in two new dramas in midweek drama doubles. First up is the six part Red Cap in which Tamzin plays Sergeant Jo McDonagh, a military policewoman who investigates crimes with the British Army in Germany. Then there’s the four part drama Final Demand in which Tamzin stars as Natalie, a bored, broke accounts clerk who dreams up a white-collar scam to steal a few cheques from her company. It’s all going swimmingly until a random sequence of events lead to an unexpected tragedy and everything in Natalie’s life starts to unravel.

Dalziel & Pascoe are back for their seventh series of crime-busting in Monday Night Crime, while Patricia Routledge, the snobbish star of Keeping Up Appearances returns for more sleuthing in Hetty Wainthropp Investigates.

Wild Weather uses breathtaking filming techniques and stunning computer graphics to bring viewers right within the elements themselves. Hitch a ride with a hurricane; journey into the eye of the storm; fly with a droplet through the water cycle. This series re-creates some of the unseen wonders of the world. Obsessions is an absorbing documentary series interweaving real-life experience with dramatic reconstruction as doctors, scientists and sufferers attempt to understand the roots of obsession.
