FAME OR MISFORTUNE (article first published : 2003-10-20)

Weekly cash prizes of R15,000 and cell phones with Cell C starter packs are up for grabs in a hilarious new interactive game sponsored by Cell C which launches on DStv on October 20.

Fame or Misfortune on Channel 45 features a ten question quiz which subscribers can enter and complete using their DSTV remote. In similar style to the very popular Brain vs. Brawn game last year, viewers complete the questions in an allocated time to be given a score and code. The code is then called in to an IVR line to enter the competition.

“Viewers are able to enter as many times as they like, and the new storylines and questions added twice a week keep the game fresh and entertaining” says Multichoice Interactive General Manager Richard Fyffe. “All you need is your DStv remote and a good knowledge of what’s hot, hip and happening in the world of movies, fashion, sport and entertainment to see if you’re set for fame or doomed to misfortune.”
