M-Net welcomes viewers t the world of step-dancing on July 30 at 21h30 with Stomp The Yard, billed as a drama romance which is directed by Sylvain White and stars Columbus Short, Meagan Good, Darrin Henson and Brian White. A troubled Los Angeles teenager relocates to Atlanta, where he is torn between two rival fraternities who both want his street-dancing skills. Here’s where step-dancing comes in – a series of energetic movements involving stomping, shout-outs, hand-clapping and knee-slapping. DJ is a young dance warrior who moves to Atlanta after a personal tragedy. At his new college, he initially keeps a low profile, but his attraction to hottie April soon brings out the romancer and dancer in him. As he starts making a name for himself on campus, he incurs the wrath of step-dancing jock Grant who doesn’t take kindly to the newcomer ogling his girl.
