MAGIC MAN HENDINI ON TOUR (article first published : 2002-07-15)

Durban-based actor/Magic Man Hendini is currently on tour with his new magic show, The Fantabulous Cheat-O-Rama. During July and August, he will be visiting several theatres and festivals.

In Durban, he will take part in the ACT Studios Holiday programme which takes place at Glenmore Primary School and runs from July 15 to 18 daily from 08h00 to 12h00. The participants will be able to enjoy a range of activities, culminating in a magic show on July 18 at 10h00 which is also open to the general public. From there the magic moves to Bloemfontein, where shows will take place in the Observatory Theatre on Naval Hill from July 23 to 27. More details from the theatre on 051 448-9150.

The Masker Theatre at the University of Pretoria is next in line, where the magic forms part of the Krekvars Festival. The tickets for this leg of the tour are extremely reasonable and schools are encouraged to make use of the opportunity to raise funds by having the learners attend this highly enjoyable show. Shows are on July 29 at 13h30, July 30 at 09h00, August 1 at 10h30 and August 3 at 12h00. Bookings can be made by calling the University of Pretoria on 012 420-2992. On August 10 the show moves over to Potgietersrus, where it will form part of the Kierieklapper Festival. There is one show only at 10h00 and bookings can be made by calling 015 491-3129. Then itís off to Kimberley for The Gariep Festival with three shows on August 30 and 31 at 17h00 and September 1 at 13h00.
