RUMPELSTILSKIN & OTHER TALES (article first published : 2003-10-19)

The annnual children's production in the gardens of the Campbell Estate will be Rumpelstilskin & Other Tales. Adapted for the stage and directed by Brenda Lauth, the production features Welile Tembe, T-Bone Hlahane, Brenda Lauth and newcomer Nadine Oberholzer (16), a pupil at Westville Girls High School.

This will be the ninth production in the gardens and it includes Rumpelstilskin, as well as a Zulu Folk Tale and one of Rudyard Kipling's Just So stories - How the Camel Got his Humphhh.

T-Bone Hlahane is well known to Durban audiences and this will be the third time he has appeared with Brenda Lauth and her company Drmamatic Art Incorporated. He also appeared in Dick Whittington and Hansel & Gretel.

The production will run from January 5 to 17 daily (except Sundays) at 10h30 at The Campbell Collections, corner Essenwood & Marriott Roads. Tickets R20 (R15 children under five). More infomration on 031 201 4310 (before 13h00).
