NB: as of 23 September 2008, all new artSMart articles are being published on the site news.artsmart.co.za. Ta Ta Ma Chance - the South Africa Dream is a hilarious play running in the iZulu Theatre at Sibaya. Scripted and directed by Kevin Palium, the play sees three friends meet at Jug's Pub 'n Grub for a drink and a chat about the "usual". The frustration of discussing everyday issues leads from one drink to another resulting in an chemically imbalance state of mind which leads to more discussions of really burning issues - in only a way that a drunk man can. The cast features Kevin Palium himself as well as Michael Mbhele and Nompumelelo Ndlovu. The diminutive Michael Mbhele recently returned from the UK where he worked for two months on a Warner Brothers movie alongside Kevin Spacey, Vince Vaughn and Ludacris. All about Santa’s sibling, the film is titled Fred Claus and is due to be released at the end of 2007. Ta Ta Ma Chance runs in the iZulu Theatre at Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom until April 22. Shows are from Wednesdays to Sundays. Tickets R75 (no under 10's). Enquiries or bookings to Sibaya Box-office on 031 580 5555.
